We were out after a bad autumn storm and it was still very windy.
Not much to show this time but we needed to complete this field.
Early Medieval was high on the wishlist as a 7th C. Franconian brooch turned up earlier this week. No success today.

A very good assortment of finds you made!

Awesome finds Westfront. Fantastic history you're retrieving and saving. Thanks for giving us a look.

Better luck next time! The spirit counts!

The Roman Military Mount is nice but I actually like the other mount, as its a form I've not seen. I wonder if the loop was used to hang a purse off of the belt.
Looks like a good result overall.

Agree, the other one is interesting. Never had one of this type before. It had silver plating, no rust of rivets visible, i don't know how it was used. Some kind of belt hanger is imaginable.

Still a nice haul with the mounts and coinage, I'd be smiling at the end of the hunt.

Seen copper-alloy rivets used, so not all have evidence of rust. We may never know....

Thanks all! :occasion14:

Far from a water haul Lu. Good days and loud targets. Good luck.
