6/27/12: I found my first ring!

Hey Hey,

I've been detecting for over a month and found about $5.00 in clad. I found a small park and casually strolled around the tennis courts when I came upon a $.50/$1 signal. I dug about four inches and found this:



(I didn't have my camera with me and the ones I took with my cell phone are blurry)

It weighs between 8-9 grams. Anyone recognize the hallmark??

Thanks guys! Me and 'da Wifey are going back after dinner tonight. I should also note that I have found several late 1960s coins here too, the earliest being 1966. I have a feeling that I am on the cusp of finding my first silver coin!
