Well Debby sure put a hurtin on some of our Gulf coast beaches. The few that I visited yesterday and this morning had anywhere from 1 to 4 feet of sand removed. It has also brought out all those fly by night detectorists who leave the big gaping holes open everywhere on the beach! Beaches that I have never seen anyone detecting on are full of scoop drag marks and potholes all over. It is really sad that some people can not take 2 seconds to cover their hole. I am embarrassed to be out there while the joggers pass me and give me dirty looks even though I cover all my holes and others holes as well :(

OK, sorry but I had to vent. Back to the hunt. Snuck out yesterday after work and hunted a fairly low tide from 5-8pm. lots of greenies and also managed 4 rings! 2 silver and 2 junk. Got back out early this morning and followed up with 2 rings, one little baby pink toe ring and one 14K with a diamond chip!
All in all not bad for 5hrs total hunting in the wet sand. Hope everyone else fares well this weekend!

Congrats on all the goodies and thanks for sharing. The wife and I plan to head down to Long Beach, WA after the 4th (way to crazy down there on independance day) to swing the coil and soooooo looking forward to it.

that's purdy!

Good ring count and gold too, nice digging. I know what you mean about the get rich quick detectorist. I was at a beach where you seldom see anyone detecting and it looked lke a swarm of bees in the wet sand. They were digging with everything from garden trowels to snow shovels. Im not kidding one guy had a snow shovel. I got in the water so I wouldnt get run over.

Nice finds. Stay away from those rip tides.

Thats so funny about the swarms of detectorist comming outta the woodwork it was the same for me the other day @ the beach the guys were using garden tools as well,it seems debby didnt put out so to speak so I took a few days off and want to hit it sunday morning, still deciding where to go in st. Pete
