6" DD EXcelerator Falsing on a Safari

Just got a new 6" DD EXcelerator coil from Kellyco. I was expecting to be able to run this coil very hot. I can't seem to raise the sensitivity much above 10 without lots of high tone falsing. The 6" does run smooth in auto.

I can run the the stock pro coil sensitivity at 14-15 in the same area without falsing.

In short I thought the little 6" would be less prone to falsing than the 11" Pro Coil but this isn't the case. Are you 6" coil users able to run high sensitivity or did I get a bad coil ? ?

Hi, I use the 5" EX. DD on my explorer and have no problems but I would not run it hot because small coils are densely wound coils that are extra sensitive already. Even at reduced sens. settings they are naturally hotter than stock coils besides they aren't made for depth they are for picking through trashy sites and maybe nugget hunting either way increasing the sens. would be a determent to your hunt. What type of site do you use it on?
