I've spent a summer with the 600 standard 11" coil and did very well, however I am going to Florida for a couple of weeks this winter and was wondering if the 6" coil would be worth the investment , I'm hoping some of you guys would have some input thanks in advance. MerryChristmas to all.

If you are going to do just beaches, keep the 11" coil on the 600. I use my smaller (6" x 8") coil on my E-TRAC for target separation in high trash areas. I never find high trash areas on the beaches in FL.

That^.

6" is ideal for high trash areas, restricted swing areas like tot lots and around fences, playground equipment, thick vegetation and woods. If you are trying to cover anything more than small curb strip like sections of ground, you are going to drive yourself crazy tiptoeing around trying to maintain overlapping swing coverage. If you are going to the beach, I would actually recommend the 12x15" elliptical. Slightly more depth than the stock but 15 vs. 11" swing coverage for a wide beach and the kicker is you are only adding about 5 ounces of additional weight vs. the stock coil. Similar separation and affinity for small targets, too. I may not put the 11" back on...

Bargain...cant wait til it gets here.

I have found the 6" coil to be a really great tool to have, I have no regrets buying one, and use it often.
