6" or 5" Excelerator 2.... What's the Difference? MXT

Last week my hubby ordered the 5" EX2 for a Christmas present for me. YEA! :icon_cheers: Only thing is, it's on back order. BOO! :P Now, my question is, is there much, if any difference in the 5, 6, and I'll throw in, 8 inch coil? Also, what are the pros and cons of the smaller coil? :icon_scratch: I'm hoping to be able to get in between the sea of iron on some of the sites I hunt. I've only hunted with the standard coil, so I don't know anything about any others.

Thanks a bunch!! Nana :)

Waite on the smaller coin to get in, it will work in between the junk better
than the larger coils and you will still get good depth. Haven't used that
detector or coils but they all work the same. I have six detectors Mine Lab
and Garrett and the same go's for them.

Both coils are very good the 5 and 6 ". Gila Marc the forum owner uses the 5" all the time. The 5" in actually smaller than 5". I've had very good luck with it. The 8" is for more depth . It is at least as deep as your 9.5 and in my ground it is actually deeper. My ground is moderately mineralized. Rob
