6000 year old flint today

[Westfront]

We got permission on a new farm this week and tried the field looking best from the few which were open for detecting.
No cropmarks but some roman pottery, high ground near a creek.
Here we go:

In the hole with the chain hidden i first thought i found the mother of all pulltabs! That thing is huge....

Two roman scrappies and a once gilded whatzit

Find of the day! Flint axe head/celt around 4-4500BC

Still sharp like day one

that axe is awesome. The WW2 stuff looks like a .50 cal round, a few 20mm casings, and some shrapnel.... must have been a bit of a fight going on there
