Went back to the Brick House on 7/3 and hunted 40% of the yard with the 15 x 12 S.E.F. coil after installing a probe on my rig. Thought I must have cleaned up this site pretty well since I wasn't getting many beeps. When I took a rest break, I noticed that the switch was in the probe position.
Needless to say I had to re-hunt that area. Dug 24 targets, only 2 coins. 1942-S (OD) nickle and a 1941 Wheat. I then wandered next door for 15 minutes and dug 3 targets.

7/4 I went to a 5 acre property in town. I spent 4 hours there continuing where I had left off on a previous hunts. I dug tons of trash. Bottle caps, cans, & pull tabs. There was a coin spill I dug, 8 clad quarters,
Pulled $2.49, oldest coin was a 1941 wheat.
I then went to a fixer-upper property that was just bought and they are clearing the yard of overgrowth. Did not spend much time there. The house was built 1900. I pulled 60 cents in about 30 minutes. the oldest coin was a 1935 wheat.

Decided to re-hunt a permission I hit in the spring using my White's classic ID (8" coil). I dug a small coin spill in the front yard that was 7" deep. 3 wheats (1909, 1917, & 1918).
In the side yard I dug up a crumbling compact and put in my finds pouch. When I got home and pulled it out of my pouch I found that it contained a small 4 coin cache. 4 wheats (1914, 1934, 1944, & 1948).

Hope ya''ll had a great holiday, I sure did. Now it's time to get out and re-hunt a few more older permissions using the large coil.
