Thought I'd take a stab at this too.
I started Dec 22, so thats like 7 good hunting days the banks were open by the end of the end of 07. I probably turned $2500-$3000 in halves during that time with 2 "skunk boxes."
Dam, I wish I had never heard that term. It was only after reading about a skunk box that my beginners luck started to turn.

41-90% Halves 1964
47-40% Halves
4-Franklin halves
1-Walking Liberty 1942
1-1964 Quarter

Misc Keepers?
1-1972s / 1-1977s / 1-1987p

For 08 I'd like to find a 1974d Double die, If it's not asking too much. ;D

Congratulations, nice finds in such a short amount of time, good luck in 08!

Very nice haul. Good 2008 luck! May the silver whatever shower you!

Maybe I should start another post on this but I could use you opinion / knowledge.

If or when I decided to sell any silver, I would like to find a good place to do it with the best return.
I currently have a guy in Anoka MN that pays $3 for a 90%. Does that mean he makes about $2 per coin in melt value alone??? is this average?

I though I read that some of you on the forum have someone that pays 9x face, and some that may even take 1% commission.

If you are talking silver quarter that is great (value $2.78)

But if you are talking half, boy that is low, shop around.
Right now with silver at 15.34 my local coin dealer will pay:
$4.98 for one 90% and $1.86 for one 40%

(silver value is $5.55 & $2.27)

Yes, I'm referring to a Half....I hope too find a better buyer.
