I have been going to a pounded Cincinnati park with tnetter Lostlake recently. 7 Indian Heads, 1 Barber and 1 Rosie(not pictured) represent the keepers. There is also a pile of wheats that are not pictured. All the wheats I have found were 1920 or earlier.
The 1880 Indian head is really nice with full LIBERTY, but I stopped the cleaning process. I will pick it up again at a later date. The 1887 is also nice. The others are 1887, 1897, 1905, 1906, 1907.
I am pretty sure this area has been nailed hard for silver, but they missed the Indians. After we get a good rain, I think more will be found. Finds are spread out from 4 hunts of 1-2 hours each. The coins have been consistent in the 6-7" range and always next to pulltabs or iron.
Regards,
Jon Dickinson.

Congrats on the nice finds, good job picking them out amongst the trash. That 1880 is very nice

Very nice haul on the indians and barber, continued success.

Nice finds congrats.

Those are some nice finds. Looks like you found the perfect spot.

Nice stuff - you've got to love these parks that are hunted out!

Thanks for the comments. Lostlake and I went back yesterday. I scored another indian and a Merc. Lostlake got 2 Indians. We are both convinced there are a bunch more after a good rain. Since it has been 2 months since we had any rain, it might be a while.....
Keno- I only use water and a toothpick to clean the indian heads. I am going to clean the 1880 today, and the one from yesterday. I'll post the results. I used the peroxide method a few times, but I didn't like it. Peroxide takes off the nice green patina that I like. Some Indians clean up nicely, and others don't. The only reason I can guess is that some areas have better soil drainage.

pointdlr looks like even though the area has been pounded you are still popping out some keepers.
