'72 Type 2?

Picked up $10 in loose Ikes today while picking up a box of halves, two of which were '72s.

Do either of these look like Type 2's to any of you guys? They both look like they could be to me, but neither are in the best shape and one has a gash so I'm not completely positive. Would like some input, let me know what you guys think.

I found a couple several years ago, it's so difficult to tell a lot of the time. IMO, the first one looks to me to be the type 2 but the second one is too difficult to tell with the hit right in the vicinity.

Hey MM, I was able to dig up the pics from 2015 of the two that I found. Quality isn't great but you can sort of see the area in question.



I ended up selling one on eBay for $70 and the other for $50.

Thanks! After looking at these, yeah, the two I had posted don't look like they are Type 2's.
