Hello Everyone,
After looking through the forum and finding so many knowleable folks, decided to join. I can see myself spending hours on here...

I would like to request help on the ID for a button I recently found. Lots of searching and no results. Location is north Dallas, old farm lands. Most items are from 1930 - 1960, and the 3 buttons were found in the same “hole” as the “8 SANFORIZED” button. The button is 5/8”.

If possible, I would like to know the approximate age and perhaps the brand of clothing it went with.

Thank you!
Suvi

First let me welcome you to the forums. The three small buttons are work clothes ones and there are many, many different varieties. They would most likely have been a snap style. In case you don't know the large button is an Army "Great Seal" one and dates from 1910 to present day. If you can read the back mark it will help date it.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I did see your button and was wondering if it dates the same and if it is the same brand. Also found the Great Seal button threads, what good info is in this forum!! :occasion14:

I will check out the Texas site, thank you for referencing vpnavy! :icon_salut:

I remember "Sanforized" as advertising terminology from the sixties. It referred to cotton dress shirts that "Never needed ironing". I think that applied to shirts taken from the dryer while still hot and hung up right away. First "memory fabric". I don't know what the 8 might represent eight ball, but this could be a pin pack button worn by sales staff in a department store.

Best wishes and good luck!---Phil
