And a 2000-P nickel with a story to tell. It has the tiny initials "JBK" stamped below the date and a large red "13" stamped into the columns of the Monticello. A little Google research led me to a discussion group called Coin Talk and a member, with the username JBK, who started a coin stamping project a few years ago. The initial stamp he uses produces letters 1/32" high. Don't know the significance of the "13" but maybe I'll get some info from his old posts. I may even join the forum and ask him. Cool stuff!

I check it out occasionally, but except for a couple of other CRHers that seem to use it, it is more from the collecting at coin shows/grading perspective and not so much the CRH side of the hobby.

i like crh and coin collecting about the same. i haven't searched many coins yet, but in my $60 of nickels it has turned out to be alot of fun. i just wish i could go to the bank more often!

I'd appreciate you telling him about it coinlover, thanks. I'd love to know the significance of the "13." And I'm with you, coin collecting and CRH hold the same rabid interest for me. I only wish there were more full time collectors among CRHers. There's a lot of monetary allure to finding silver, but to me finding a wheatie holds the same value.
