I find a lot of silver dimes....
I live in a small town. and there isnt much to hunt. And being a newbie at this still. I somehow manage to pull in at least one silver every time I get out. At least a dime or a few each time. I went out this morning for a quick hunt as I couldnt sleep last night. Been under loads of stress. Anyway....
I decided to get out. Do a little hunting. Relax. And here is what i dug.

A 1964 Silver dime. D mint. In a an area I have been hunting lately that has been producing a lot of Rosie dimes. So, I decided to move to an area that was older. No big hits as I am sure its been hit many times before. But, i did dig this neat token.

Its a
New York City Transit Authority Token.
Brass round, 16.5 mm
Token of the New York subway of the years 1953-70
I was able to Identify it thanks to "google".
I know its the early series because of the dots between New York - Transit Authority and, good for - one fare. The Y in NYC has is a punched out letter Y. I think its a neat find. All the way out here in Oregon. I dug it in an easement in front of a old Craftsmen home.

I also found loads of clad. And among them, another new dollar coin.

WILLARD FILMORE - PRESIDENTIAL DOLLAR COIN.
I love finding these. I have loads of them! After it bleeped in, I looked down and it was freshly dropped. And just starting to make its way into the dirt. I cleaned it up with water. And put it in with the rest of my Presidential coins. And I realized. This one, was silver in color. Not the brass color they all have. And its very shiny. Is it a proof? A silver alloy? I dunno. Just thought it was interesting. Its totally white. No brass tone at all.

I also won a Morgan Silver Dollar from a contest this week as well. A 1882 O high graded coin. That was a surprise and shocker. COOL!!!
I got my finds all on video. But, I will upload them tomorrow to my youtube. As I am to burnt on treasure talk now and just wanna lay back and watch a movie.
However, i wanna share this video with you all. Its in support of the Local Metal Detecting Club I belong to. We are having a drawing. And the there are two detectors for prizes. A minelab, and a whites. As well as some hefty silver! the drawing is open to everyone inside the USA. And you can contact me about tickets. Hopefully, someone who is wanting to get into detecting will win the machines. And I can win that big silver haha.
Anyway. Cheers, best of luck. Happy hunting and all that formal detector jargin.
