Today, I searched a different part of the park that I hunted on Thursday.

I got started about 9:30 a.m.

Plenty of targets, good mix of tabs and coins.

Just after 10 a.m. I dig a target about 4 in deep. I pulled it out of the hole, saw the back enough to see it was a wheatie.

I don't find too many of those, thought "cool, in the pouch you go." More about that in a bit.

I hunted until about 3:30 p.m.

I dug a couple pieces of jewlery. 1 piece being my first claddagh ring. I found it just beneath the surface.

I started rinsing off the coins and I got to the wheatie. I had to get the loupe out for this one. I was expecting it to be from the 50's maybe the 40's at the earliest. To my amazement it is a 1909! No s or VDB, but this was quite a surprise.

Good Hunt! Anytime you are pulling jewelery out of a park you are doing well!

You are a testiment to the "Dig it all and you will find the good stuff"!

Good Job!!

Thanks guys :icon_thumleft:

bet your heart skipped a beat on that wheatie.. and silver is good.. nice job Willie

Sweet lookin little ring :icon_salut:

Thanks everybody.

The 1909 really caught me off guard. That was almost the last thing I thought I would find there. I knew that the chances of it being an S VDB were very slim, but I was hoping ;D

The claddagh ring really made my day. I've always wanted to find one.
