A 1 note harmonica?

This was dug yesterday, shown along with a Canadian cent for reference.
My bud Lowbatts couldn't ID it and said he's never dug one before. So I figure it must be a
Museum piece then.

Any ideas guys?

It is a reed from a musical instrument, probably an organ.

I guess it could be a reed organ or a squeeze box. I have a WWI Whites pump organ like the one pictured below. There has been some discussion about these reeds in the past. http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,269668.0.html

So is there any value to these reeds? Would it be unwise to sell to a scrap yard?
