It?s been a while since I have posted.
Anyhow I?m still alive and getting stronger every day.
Here is my take on an 1820 permission.

When I first dug the nickel I thought it was a worn out penny or a clad dime but after a couple of minutes the Roman numeral 3 emerged and BAM! My favorite find of the day announced it’s self.

This is about as clean as I can get it. It’s starting to flake on the edges so I don’t know if I will ever get a positive date.

The Real is pretty slick but I was able to get the last two numbers of 81 making it a1781

The ring looks to have a gold band but the stone and setting look like costume jewelry. Not sure how old it is but I would guess early 1900?s

The thimble is made of silver and reads J. B. Schafer Jeweler
