5th hunt with my new F5 which I got as an experiment to see if it can handle my challenging, weird, mineralized, trash and iron infested dirt.
The good news...it can.
The better news...it is performing way better than I wished or hoped it would.
Way better.
Could turn out to be the best tool I have used so far around here in my Alabama dirt and I have used or still own an F2, F70, three different Tesoros and even a Nox.
Shocking performance, especially from a $299 detector.

Been avoiding lots of trash and iron while still culling clad, bullets and other good targets from a few of my totally scoured sites on my first four hunts.
Yesterday, on my 5th hunt, it found me bona fide treasure.
Found in a park that is old but mostly silver rosey and merc old, a Barber was a nice surprise.

My second and more comfortable preferred hunting season down here in the south is about to begin, I expect big things before the heat shuts me down again next summer.

Looks like you did very well with that detector.

That truly is a nice surprise! Congratulations! :icon_thumright:

Thanks guys!
A new detector to learn, one that seems to hold so much promise and new sites plus a bunch of old sites to visit to see if they can come alive again for me.
Life is good.

Awesome surprise my friend.

Congrats on the Barber !
Call me strange - but I really like heavily worn silver coins !
