I was able to get out to a park in Mesa yesterday afternoon and found some keepers. 1954s Franklin half dollar, a crusty 1944 penny, 2 buttons one US Airforce and another gilt button, 1955 20 centavos Mexican coin, a Peter Piper token, a 5-in-1 Remington blank cartridge that was used in the movie industry long ago and could be used in 5 different firearms, and a handful of modern coins. The half dollar made the hunt worthwhile and the weather was perfect. Thanks for looking and may your coil find great things. Great finds, and a fine job cleaning them! Ole Ben still on my bucket list, he's a good hider..lol. Congrats on a fine day out, Ddf.

Great hunt, big silver and a beautiful USAF button, doesn't get much better, congratulations on all the saves

I've been lucky out here this here with a Franklin and a Walker. Last year I found a 1902 Barber half. I have never found a silver half in Pa for 40 plus years of detecting. Go figure.

Thank you. I had to do some research to find out what the USAF button was. I have found many Great seal Army but that is the first Air Force.

Thank you. The weather here has finally gotten nice after much rain and cool weather.

Jefferson Park is located there and I have hunted it last year but need to get there this year. I found a nice gold ladies ring with ice and an amethyst last year and had it sized for my wife, Tommy. I have started a new strategy for hunting these hunted out parks and it seems to be working.

It's strange how luck works out. I've only found one silver half and I'm 3 years in.

In case your interested.. The 5 in 1 blanks were used in the movies. So called as they could be fired in 38-40, 44-40 and 45 revolvers and 38-40 and 44-40 rifles. Mostly used in westerns

Congrats on the nice finds! :occasion14:

Awesome finds! I thought you would be overdosing with sunshine down there, but you’re raking in the keepers. Nice Franklin. Congrats

A great day detecting when you can pull a Silver half out the plug. Congrats on your nice finds.

Forgot to say those are some nice pics. Really clear. Thanks!

Ha, I found two 1944 crusty pennies as well yesterday. No half dollar however. Nice hunt and finds.

Nice big Ben! Congrats! :icon_thumleft:

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Nice job on that Big Boy! He’s a rotund one, that’s for sure. Nice going!
