A break in the rain brought a "silver" lining!!
Went back to Evil park between the rains this morning, we had over ½" of rain overnight but the clouds broke around 11:00 so I headed for the park. Before the next rains came at 1:00 I found this 1943 silver Washington quarter. When the rain moved back in I headed to Mickey D's for a break and lunch then back to the park.
The ring on the left is marked "sterling", too bad it is mangled up. The ring on the right I found yesterday in the same area. Today's ring hit a nice repeatable 11-44 in two directions on the Etrac and showed 6" deep, thought for sure I had silver coin number 2 for the day. Yesterday's ring gave a perfect 11-13 nickel signal in two directions, was thinking nickel for sure and out pops the ring! Not long after today's ring I hit a nice repeatable 8-13 and at about 5" I popped the Buffalo nickel, a 1926!
Today's take; 3 clad quarters, 5 clad dimes, 7 memorials, 2 Jefferson nickels and 4 wheats, 1941, 1944, 1944 and 1952.
Thanks for looking!!
