Thought I'd try the mansion one more time. Sure seems to have a lot of buckles. :)
But, I'm not versed in those. :dontknow:

Oh, and, any forensic, ballistic experts out there? ;)
I found this in one hole, it's all that was left.

Been in the ground long enough to disintegrate. But, the hammer
still works! LOL

Thanks for peeking!

I'm always surprised of how many buckles are lost out there.

Cool gun :icon_thumright:

Mostly late buckles Chris, the square buckle is a Sash Buckle, the round item is one of a couple of things, either part of horse related tackle, or even the ring from a Dorset Button, this could be your oldest item.

Must've been all the pantsings that went on back in the colonial times. :laughing9:

The strange thing about this is all these buckles I've been finding lately are coming from basically one little section of ground at the mansion. I've also found an Eagle "I" button and an Indian Head cent there. I think I may have gotten there late and most of the "goodies" have been taken. But, how anyone could ignore these perfect, 84-86, AT-Pro hits, well, I just don't know. Gotta be some goodies left somewhere! :)

The gun? Yeah, it makes me wonder just how old. I've not seen one disintegrate like this.

Thanks for the response!

Actually, I forgot to mention, the round one and the last buckle pictured? They were in the same hole. :)

There's a pattern to all these buckles I've been finding, just haven't put it together yet.

Thanks for the info!
