Can we get a clue to what ....To me it looks like maybe a base to something that has vibration. The spring helps it float? Or a stand for a car with coil springs for a paint booth. leave the suspension off the car. lol

Is there going to be more to it? or does it serve a purpose all by it's self?

Partially right. It is a base to something. If someone doesn't guess by tomorrow I'll reveal what it is. It'll be late. I got 9+ hours of driving tomorrow.

Nope. It a base to a computer chair. A friend of the family takes care of her brother. He has autism and he likes to rock in his computer chairs. He keeps destroying them, so I told her I'll build something for him.
