I have any opportunity to purchase this collection. Does anyone have an idea of what is a fair price?

Kinda tough to buy it and sell it.

What are they asking?

This a local craigslist they are asking $800 obo

I'll put it this way,the economy is crap and its going to get crappier. When the economy and fiat currency goes the clads are garbage. Its not going to matter what they are.

silver should bring 20x face value

Melt + face value + $20 and not a dollar more IF you are buying this to keep. I'm not gonna do the math for you but the asking price of $800 seems insane... If you are buying this to resell then you would be advised to pass on this lot.

Wow $20xfv? Wish I could get that- i can only get $16.5-$17xfv

You should get coin world at your news stand. Dealers in this publication are selling 90% silver coins for under 17 times face. The dealers ad I am looking at is in Greenville SC. And at the gun show out here this weekend one dealer was selling 90% silver at 14.5 times face.

$14.5? Thats was basically spot this weekend- good deal did you buy it up?

If I remember correctly 1900-O is a semi key date dime.

Much of what I see on your list is only worth face value. The rest is common everyday stuff. At $800 run, don't walk, as far away from this deal as you can. Not going to take the time to add up every little thing but there is not much there really. For example the indian head cents.. My local coin shop always has a bowl of those later dates for $1 each.

My friend and I bought all the 90% the dealer had. I also bought the other day 100 Morgan and peace dollars that will grade vf to unc. The price was fair for nice common dates that have never been messed with. Jim
