I started CRHing in late 2022, so last year was my first full year of CRH. I did so much better than I expected, and would like to thank all of the people who helped me out and encouraged me along the way.

-Coins Gone Through-

Cents-$2177.78(217,778 coins, 87.1112 boxes)

In the nickels, I found 1 shield nickel, 6 Liberty V nickels, 70 buffalo nickels, and 60 silver war nickels, which when added together with the common Jeffersons, made a total of 1822 pre-1960 nickels. I also found 55 Canadians, 27 other foreign coins, and 14 proofs.

In the dimes, I found one Barber dime, 14 mercs, 76 rosies, 5 Canadian 80%ers, and 1 Canadian 50%er for a total of 97 silver dimes. I also found 12 Canadian dimes, 12 other foreign coins, and 5 proofs, all clad.

In the quarters, I found 7 silver Washingtons, 15 “W” quarters, 10 uncirculated S-mints, 5 proofs, all clad, 5 Canadian quarters, and 7 other foreign coins.

In the halves, I found 1 walker, 3 bens, 13 90% Kennedies, and 51 40% Kennedies for a total of 68 silver halves. I also found a silver war nickel(in place of a quarter), a proof Immigrants commemorative, and 3 foreign coins.

In the Dollars, I found 10 IKEs, 12 proofs, and 64 NIFC dollars.

In total(excepting the nickel in the quarters) I found 232 silver coins containing 25.25375 Troy ounces of silver for face value, paying $48.45. I averaged $1.92 per Troy ounce.

Here are some highlights of last year. The first two photos are my full report, complete with dates and mintmarks.

Thanks for looking! Sorry for all of the Pics.

Great job! I have never gone to pick up rolled coin for hunting….but I intend to start soon. I manage restaurants and have had the luxury of having thousands and thousands of dollars in cash and coin move through my hands over the years. I have found many foreign coins, errors, silvers of course!, Ike dollars, the occasional Morgan or peace dollar left as a tip which I always pay at minimum the spot price if heavily worn or better, depending upon year and mint of course. Probably pulled more than a roll and a half worth of the “W” quarters, in all designs, which was fun hunting and I would love to see more of that come from the US Mint! Outside of the coins, I have obtained many old bills, silver certificates and larger bill currency (20/50/100) from 1920's-1950's, including star notes and uncirculated sequential packs of star notes($200 one time) all of which I have been turning the paper into silver…don’t WANT the fiat!

So I guess I have been coin roll hunting for roughly 30 years now…although I will kick it in high gear and actually go to the bank and order boxes of coins. It seems like a fun (and of course profitable) way to spend an afternoon! Good luck!

The only word that I can give you is that once you start, you can’t stop! I’ll look forward to seeing your posts.
