Nice. I found 4 of those exact Chinese coins last year in a spill. Somebody's coin collection. They didn't date those coins. They're only dated by dynasty. I think mine were somewhere between 150-200 years old or something.

You found a SLQ in a Coinstar?.... that’s awesome!

Yeah...it takes time though...usually they are empty...but persistence pays off...

I collected quite alot of Canadian change over a short period of time and was able to use it on a trip to Canada...I think about $30 worth...paid for lunch. :)

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

That was my guess...here in Seattle the Chinese were here doing laundry in the mid 1800's....just a hypothesis

Very nice finds, congrats! :icon_thumleft:

乾隆通寶,乾隆通宝 Qianlong emperor coin. He was the 6th Qing dynasty emperor. His reign period was 1736-1795.

Those are always cool to find your off to a good start

That's why it's always important to look up those coins to see the date! Same dynasty as the only Chinese coin I've found. Congrats I'd be excited to find those!

Maybe a better, in focus, close-up of the quarter? If it's a 1923S, even in the lower grades, it's worth over $100.

Wow, I'll try and get a better photo...I recall it was an s mark...

No S mark...I recall looking for that...but here's another photo...maybe you can spot something I don't see. Thanks
