Hello everyone, went to my grandparents today they live in a late 1800's farm house so i was hoping to find a coin or 2. I stayed out around the barns for about an hour and dug mostly trash, it was getting dark so i headed to the front of the house where i got a copper penny signal about 4" deep, i dug the plug and out popped my first Wheat!!! :D:D nothing to special a 1946 but being my first wheat it made my day, with the light running out i got a dime signal at 4" i dug the plug and knocked some of the dirt back in the hole thats when i seen the silver rim! I was thrilled! Rinsed the dirt off and seen i had dug my first silver coin :D:D a 1941 Mercury dime, i love this hobby lol

Thanks :D seeing that silver rim sure was an awesome feeling

Nice find on the coins. Is coin roll hunting over for you now that winter is about over? I used to read your posts on there all the time

Congrats on the silver. Keep hunting that site, it has a lot more to give. Once you've cleared away a lot of the surface signals, the deeper signals become more prominent and you'll be posting some more oldies! There may be a few indian heads and barbers lurking...

Good job on your first Merc & Wheat ... those are fun coins to dig!

Congrats on those finds.. Doesn't it feel good when you look down and see that shiny silver staring back at you. Hope you find many more.
