Found these in a field along a large spring field creek. Beautiful place to have a house all those years ago.

Very small iron patch, and no junk whatsoever, kind of an odd place, not even a button, just iron and these 2 coins! 1802, and 1797. It was just a random out of the way spot, nothing on the old maps.

Great KG III's! I dug one out of the sand last week!
 

They look like US cents to me. Really nice finds and sounds like an excellent location. I can just picture someone sitting down to rest near that house, and the coins falling out of his pocket as he lay back to enjoy the sky.
 

The non mapped sites seem to have a keeper or two.
Congrats on the 2 early coppers.
