A couple of funny incidents over the last few days - very brief

1st little musing

So its Friday morning after Thanksgiving and I just dumped off 3k at one bank and then go North down the road to drop off another 1k at another bank. After the 2nd dump I come back South down the road to go across town to my pickups for the day.

When I pass by the first bank the Brinks truck is parked out front and I can see the guys with the dolly heaving up my bags of halves into the back of the truck I got a good laugh as I kept on driving.

2nd little musing

Yesterday I brought 3k into one of my banks and both tellers at the merchant window were counting out cash for their clients and I could see the one purposely count slower and chit chat so the other one would get my bags .....pretty slick move on his part! I have great relationships with them all but lets be realistic no one likes to lift them!

Anyways just wanted to share those laughs I enjoyed.

Reminds me of the time I went to dump at my CU - I had two large plastic jugs full of coin and I passed the Armored truck guys bringing out a hand cart full of bags - I mentioned that I was bringing them more to pcik up next time. They just laughed. Probably lucky they didn't mistake me for a hold up man with my hands full and try to shoot me.

I had a good chuckle. I kinda set them up for it, but it was still funny.

This past Black Friday I went on a road trip in uncharted territory by my hometown. I gathered about $250 in half dollars. I then went to my grandparents small town. Traditionally we go buy $20 worth of scratch tickets from the General Store across the street and then scratch them off with my grandfather. This time, we paid in half dollars. My grandfather stocks the store and knows the cashiers behavior and told me ahead of time that they'd LOVE to get their hands on half dollars because they are the type that think those things are rare...

Well...we won $16 on our tickets. I went back alone to get the cash back. Sure enough, when I went back, one of the cashiers was dumping the 40 coins in to her purse. She looked like she got caught with her hand in the candy jar. I'm sure she put $20 of her own money in the till, so I'm not worried about her theft, but watching people that think clad halves are rare is fun.
