A couple of relics I dont know what they are.

The first one looks like a clip from what is now used on a dog collar but this is very old. The second one looks like a barrel but I need to get them cleaned. The one that looks like a barrel is 12" long and broke off and the end in the picture is rounded on the inside. Let me know if you guys need more pictures. These were found a 200 yards from each other and both are on a battle field or very close.

Is it ok to ask how do you know the "dog clip" is old?

Yes sir I dont mind. The material that its made out of Is the same as all the other old relics I have found on this property.

Can you clean the rust off the "barrel" and get a good measurement of the inside diameter?

Yes I will. Im picking up some rust remover today.

Ok the clip looks to have a copper spring inside of it.Im still cleaning it up but it looks to be a sabre strap hook or something like that. Is very old I know that much
