Just a bit smaller than a small manhole cover. 27 inches in diameter.

27 or 2.7 inches? Post another pic with another object in the field. I can see what's left of the hinge below the made in USA script.

It's a compact lid as xr7ator said. If it's 27 inches, then it likely belonged to the wife of the giant who lived atop the beanstalk.
