A desert boy has a question

ok first off I know NOTHING of Meteorites but live in south west Arizona an allways like something to hunt , where do I start ,what to I look for ,where do I go.....I go out in the desert with my metal detector every so often so any help with this I would be gratefull.

First off you have a computer, so research known falls in your area.
Its like hunting gold, start where gold has been found.
Second yes you can strike out on your own and cover say dry lake beds also and remote mountain areas trying to find specimins.
You can also search many meteorite identification sites which will give you an idea of what they DO look like and DO NOT look like.
Third you could invest in a few samples of meteorites from Arizona to use for testing your detector and visual I.D.
This ought to get you started kid.

kid at 40 lol ya sounds about right I may get older but I refuse to grow up
