Hello all,,,
It's been a while since I've posted any of my finds. It's spring time, so I've been busy, and what little free time I have had I've spent detecting. Here's a small list of finds since about the 6th of April...
Back on the 6th I found another old copper compact.
It measures 1-9/16" in diameter by 1/2" tall and reads, "DEERE" on the top, with a picture of a woman in the center, and "TheRFICH ASHcorp N.Y." on the bottom. I found one on ebay with a "Buy It Now" price of $29, but it's in much better shape and you can see the details much better than on this one.
Also found that day was my first silver quarter for the year, 1943 Washington.
It was found at a depth of 6" down and giving the Cz that sweet sound of silver. This was the first target of the day and definitely a good way to start out on a new location.
Back on the 8th & 9th of the month I found a few more Indian Head cents, an 1887, and a 1906.
Due to the fact I have been so busy most of these hunts were only an hour, or so long, but were pretty productive. On the 10th I tried an old park that we haven't really hit all that hard and was lucky enough to find a few silvers. The first was a 1943 Mercury dime, and just a few feet away from it was this nice 1892 Barber Quarter.
My latest finds were these two tokens. Found on the 13th of this month. The first is from Ballys it was found at a depth of 5" down at a local park. The obverse reads, "Ballys-Le Mars-Family Fun Center" and the reverse reads, "Playground for the Mind". I measures 22mm in diameter.
The second one was found at the same park as the ballys token above at a depth of about 4" down. It has a picture of a clown on the obverse and reads, "For Reply Only-No Cash Value" on the reverse. It measures 20mm in diameter
As you can see it's been a pretty good month so far. Not pictured are (5) wheaties that I have found also.. I have been trying some new locations and it has really been paying off for me... I've been hitting the forum from time to time, just reading, haven't had much time to post.
Hope ya all have a great day.
Good luck, & Happy hunting~
