Here are photos of a few finds from another local site, sorta slim pickins around here again this spring.
I've only hunted this site for the last 5 years, and some trends are starting to be identified.
#125 is a typical heavy duty constricting stem point of ferruginous quartzite. Several similar examples have come from this site.
#126 a small patinated jasper Palmer/Kirk point with ground base, several of these have surfaced here too.
#127 thin jasper triangle, usually find a couple of these here each season.
#133 is my favorite from this site this year. I am thinking these are concave based Palmer-Hardaway variants. Unfortunately it has an ear or auricle missing. What remains of the base is heavily ground, and one side has a nice thinning chip removed, almost flute like. We don't really get many, if any, of the true Hardaway forms like found in the Carolina's, up here on the Delmarva, but it seems some of that influence might be seen in these little Palmer points with concave bases?
