A few finds from the mining town

You could walk through this area and not even know there was a town there at one time. It is all forest now. There were no streets, sidewalks or foundations. Only a dug well or two. These are some finds the last couple times out.

Photo #1 Two flat irons.
Photo #2 A lifter for a stove lid and a broken drill bit.
Photo #3 A broken coke scoop. This would have had a 10'-12' handle to pull coke from the coke ovens.
Photo #4 Lid from a kettle and a large hinge.
Photo #5 You would think the miners a 120 years ago would not have flattened their copper dinner plates. I have found quite a
few flattened ones and only one good one over the years.
Photo #6 Too bad this kettle wasn't complete.

Great finds.keep up the good work.
your kettle looks some what like a wagner ware i found.
