I found a new patch of woods this week that kinda kept "calling to me" every time I passed by. lol. An area of about 5 acres, behind a little strip mall. It looked old and fairly clean. I hit it last night for about 2 hours, and today for about 2 hours again.
Last night I found the 2 mercs, a 37 and a 39. A 1937 (British?) One Penny. Not that old, but in nice shape, so I figured it was worth posting. And a 1941 Mexico Penny. (which kinda gave me my first "gold coin scare!")
Today I returned for a few hours and found a no-date Buffalo, and a 1907 Barber Quarter.
I also found several wheats and a fake gold ring, that aren't in the photos. And as usual, I cleaned the entire area of bullets, bottlecaps, and pulltabs. :-\
All the coins were in the 6-7 inch range.
Thanks for looking.
TBK.

TBK,
Your feeling was right it looks like. Some very nice old coins. I dug one of those large Britsh pennies about a month ago. I thought I had an LC until I cleaned it up. :icon_profileright: :'( ;D
Congrats,
