Got out for a bit this afternoon trying to beat the rain tomorrow
Got the full point in my other post that I am very curious about
Got either the tip of a larger tool, or another one of many jughill (Madison) points I’ve found.
I found a flake of wild material, I would absolutely love to see the point that came out of that stone
And another rare stone type, I’m hoping I’ll find a source and be able to construct a trade network.
Finally among the limestone crumbling off the face and the layer is sandstone and shale and wind blown dirt this little quartz pebble showed up, I’m almost positive it’s a manuport, but to what purpose? I’ve only found 3 similar rocks ever in the area and they all came from gravel bars on the river, this site is at the top of the landscape… other thought maybe it was in one of the animals they were processing? I think it could add an interesting bit to the story of the site if I ever figure it out.
