Hello. Got a new permission to a promising field today. It's on a steep rocky hill so it rarely gets ploughed.

It took about 30 minutes to find the first coin:

1 ör km 1720.

This one made me jump a little. Heavily gilded button from turn of the century (1870-1917). Possibly military, not sure. Looked like a gold coin anyway.

2 hours later i had 2 more coins: 1 daler 1715 (upper one), and 1/4 öre from 1633-1634. My oldest copper to date. :icon_thumright:

They've seen better days.

Took a hit from the spade.

I only covered a tiny fraction of this site today and the coins were getting older and older as i went down the hill. More finds tomorrow perhaps? We'll see. :tongue3:

GL and HH everyone.

Congrats on the nice selection of coins.

I always love to see the finds from across the pond. Great hunt, and keep us posted on what turns up!

Thanks for your interest. I've done 3/4 of the field now. Here are the results:

Yesterday's finds:

Silver. :icon_thumright:

Today's finds:

Big, heavy copper coins mainly from 1700's.

Bag seal. Anno 1800.

A bronze ring with deep patina. 1600's possibly.

From the hilltop:

Happy hunting!

Nice finds! Silver is always welcome, young or old.... :icon_thumleft: Looks like a great start, more will come!
