A first after almost four years; I need a whiskey and I don't drink!
The last two mornings have been spent at a yard a few blocks away; I've had my eye on it for some time and finally asked permission. Nothing spectacular; yesterday I pulled 1912 and 34 wheats and a 53D Rosey, along with a key medallion with a portable generator pictured on it. On the back, it instructs you to drop in a mailbox and Arrow Supply Co. of Pittsburgh will pay the postage. This morning, I plucked three common wheats before a shallow half dollar signal sang out. After about a dozen Walkers, two Franklins, at least two Barbers and a Bust half dollar, I found my first Kennedy...and it's clad!
This was followed by a medallion endorsing Old Drum Whiskey, with the motto "Across the nation the taste sensation" circling a drummer marching with a bass drum. The other side indicates that it was made by Calverts Distillers Corp., NY. I found an ad for this whiskey from the '30's; does anyone know anything else about it?
