I picked my usual 2 boxes for Friday and by the looks of what was showing on the ends, it didn't look to promising. I picked out a few 40%'s and a couple 90%'s and then half way through the first box out comes this 1905 Barber! WOW! I couldn't believe it. Well out of the two boxes I ended up with 5 90%, 17 40% and the Barber. Not to shabby in my book! Enjoy the pics.

not bad at all! That Barber looks like it is in good condition. The one I found was wafer thin.

Wow!!!
Great Box!!!

Very nice. I have been roll hunting for many years, and have yet to find a barber. Congrats!!

i'm looking at the redbook right now and it says the mint only made 662,000 1905 barber halves! nice find! thats a nice coin you got there! i'd say its worth around $18 in that condition.

SCM.....What an excellent find!!! Kudos buddy. I get all tickled when I find a Franklin or Walker.....but a Barber.....someone would have to give me oxygen!!

WTG!!

Is it just me, or do I see an "O" under the tail on the reverse. If so, that would make it slightly more valuable as there were only 505,000 of those minted.

Either way, nice find. Congrats.

Thanks for all the great comments!! I had to check again for that "O" after reading your comment Gman, I can see it in the pic but not with a 10 power loop. There is a small ding surrounded by dirt/crud and it appears to be an o but it's not there. Good Eyes!

well, since it has the "O" mintmark, i'd say that worth around $25! not bad at all!
