Hi guys and gals!

Went out with my bro in law to a 1901 school.

Dug up my first buffalo nickel 1937 that was made into a jewelry medal to ware! I think whoever did this did a pretty dam good job! :)

I also found a matchbox car my 20th and a dogtag .I found few of those.
Also a dollar bill folded up in grass and when first seeing it thought it was just junk paper.

Over 2 bucks in $$$

Have a great weekend people..:)

That is a really cool find, I take it you could see the date, can't tell if its the pic or me that is out of focus? lol

I think it was me, I looked again and could see the date, sweet!

Very cool finds. I've seen other coins cut out and made into jewelry, and I believe some are called Hobo art. Congratulations.

I agree , hobo or tramp art! Very popular during the depression era, there are also pushed versions ( cents or silver)which gives a 3 dimensional look !

How interesting. I wonder how it's done.

Nice piece congrats!

I used to have a Merc dime like that.

They have to be really good and steady with metal tools! It was an iffy nickel signal,so I change from coin mode to jewelry modeand then it gave me a solid signal, so I dug it. Glad I changed mode for that hole, just see see the dif...:)

Nice find. WTG. Haven't seen one like that before.

seems like everybody is finding the coin cut outs or punch outs, this one looks pretty nice to me

A tiny hole is drilled and then a jewelers coping saw is used with a metal cutting blade to cut out the design by hand. Have to have three things to do it - a steady hand, great eye sight and a ton of patience.

Very cool piece!!
