Made the drive back to the battle site and did pretty well. Tough going and swampy but I had a blast. I had two surprises on this hunt. First was a trigger guard that was about 8 inches in the muck. First one for me, I still have to try to ID it.
2nd surprise was digging a bullet then rechecking the hole and I pulled 7 more out. I think about 10 years ago I found 5 in one hole.
I also have a possible bullet in wood but it could be a modern one. I hate to bust it open to find out..
Total take for the 5 hour hunt was 19 bullets, two frags and the trigger guard.
If any one knows what model rifle the guard came off that would be awesome.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Well done Birdman,,
Nice recoveries from the battle site,,and to top it off ..five hours of the beautiful Florida sun..You did well my friend

Birdman-

Using the Nox or the ORX? My ORX tends to find those tiny bullets. Not as deep as the NOX or Cibola though but no slouch either.

Using the equinox 800, I have not even used the ORX yet. I had a nox 600 as a back up and traded for the orx just to see if it is a good relic machine. Hope to get it out soon.
