A fossilized egg or just a cool rock?

Rockhounding at the site of a new school being built in Sussex, Wisconsin.
It was farm land until this year. Lots of glacier tumbled rocks and bits of red, greenish and blue rocks here and there.
I am hoping to find my first arrowhead, but no luck yesterday.
Instead (see my pics), a possible egg? And check out the ground layers as the dug down about 4 feet.

cool rock......but I would be scanning that ground that is opened up....

There doesnt seem to be much other than the standard tumbled glacier rocks.
I was disappointed.
Unless I dont know what to look for. Any tips to finding fossils or cool rocks?

No, why would it be an egg? I see the layers, so it's all glacial deposits....rock salad. Hit that field right after a rain. The fancier rocks will stand out better. Or walk it at night with a black light, might find some interesting minerals.
