No, he didn't find these. They were in a collection of fossils he bought. The old guy who had them died & his family sold them.

I used to be able to find some collections to purchase. Last one I looked at were all reproductions and I passed.

I love the wide variety of colors Florida material has. Do they have signs of heat treating or are the colors always this way?

A lot of Florida materials were heat treated. Especially in the Archaic period.
