My beloved Oregon coast is breathtaking, but with its near-50-degree water, black sands and angry Pacific surf (had 35-foot seas last week), it is not as detectorist friendly as the Atlantic and Caribbean waters. Just thought some of you might like to come out west for a few minutes!

This is awesome Bill!! Makes me kinda proud to be a "webfoot"!! I would love to see one like this made about Orygun's high desert....

You just made my vacation bucket list very beautiful

Ya gotta go see Crater Lake too, Joe. It is one of the "Seven Wonders of the World." It will blow your socks off....guaranteed!!

I don't know my sox this time of year are wool and go up to my knees with long johns underneath but I'm sure it's awesome I'll be researching

T.C., we moved to Salem last spring after a couple of years in Redmond. Central and Eastern Oregon are just as gorgeous. Really miss Smith Rock, the Three Sisters, Steens.
Kiger Gorge, Steens Mountain Oregon.

Cattle King Pete French's round barn near Diamond. French shot out of his saddle on the day after Christmas, 1897.

Smith Rock State Park draws climbers from all over the world. "Rooster Cogburn" was filmed here.

Mount Jefferson, one of several really prominent volcanic peaks in the Cascades.

South Sister from Sparks Lake.

Joe, glad my state is on your bucket list. Come on out!
