A good 383 grams of sterling today

I picked this up just before noon today. The handwrougt workmanship was the first clue. Not finding the maker of N.S. Co. STERLING MEXICO. Good clean piece of sterling silver bought for $5.43 so says my new kitty cat who loves hanging with me in my office.

Good score. The "N.S. Co." mark is documented for Mexico in a number of reference sources with and without stops, but it's one of many unattributed marks. Date-wise, that style of mark without any official registration would be between c.1950-1979.

Nope I'll hold on to this and I've never taken anything back. Yeah it does look like the cats on the scale. She's always curious about all my movements and always around to scope the things out I'm dealing with, like this mail order hutch I had to put together. I got her at the humane society last Oct. 31. She was 5yrs and settled in to our home way better than I expected.

Thank you RC. That's what the web was coming up with. Nothing definite on any particular silversmith. I do agree on the age also.
