Had a good rain today and when passed I took a bike ride on the trails and less traveled streets to end the day.
Well deserved rain
The forecast was showers early and so far at 5pm rained for two minutes only

Had a second round of rain last night, so I went out in the open-space out back to see the effects of it all. These are the natural sloughs that run high when we get a downpour like we did last night. Cooled off quite a bit also and the temp's were in the high 50s this morning.

Nice pictures
They forecast rain-but it doesn't happen
Even the radar shows rain-didn't happen.
Hot/humid/dry-gardens are crying more water please.

We're gettin some rain but looks like the front range is picking up a little more. Still, we're in the 9th week of no fire restrictions so that's something.

Indeed having no campfire when camping would be a bummer. We're back up in the 90s once again for a few more days, but it looks like rain is expected to begin this Sunday and rain every day all of next week. I might be taking a trip Sunday to Grand Junction or Montrose? and then onto Nucla and then Creede on Monday. I'm expecting to see that hint of the summers end in the higher elevations. Hope to take the scenic route over cottonwood later this Sunday afternoon if I get outta here before 3pm. If not I'll cross the state on I70 which isn't as beautiful, but quicker.

I can imagine how great the air smelled after too!

That it does. I opened some windows as the rain storm was moving in and kicking up a nice cooler breeze.
