Went out to the woods with D-Dub & Lokn4seated for a 8hr hunt today, man it was one of the best hunts that I have ever been on. :icon_pirat: The bad news is I forgot my camera in my car and didn't want to take the time to go get it for fear that they would get all the goodies. I started out finding a couple of wheaties then I found the merc then some more wheaties, then the barber (My 1st Barber for 2010) then more wheaties then the buffalo nickel to end my hunt. It sure was fun getting out and finding lots of old coins.

D-Dub was digging a target then covered up the hole, I then mentioned that I had pulled an indian head penny from this spot, then he went back and started re-digging the target when I caught a blip of silver about 10 feet away from him. I dug down and saw a black disk so I thought it was a clad quarter, I grabbed it and when I did I saw the silver show through the back side of a barber quarter, I said "BARBER!!!" I then gave it to D-Dub and said "Please let it be an 1800's coin" he said "nope". :laughing7: Its not in the best shape but I'll take it!!! I hope everyone got out to hunt today. :icon_pirat:

The other guys had an AWESOME hunt as well, congrats guys!!! :icon_pirat:

Re: A hunt to remember

Great finds! Congrats on all of that silver! Hey the barber may not be from the 1800's, but it's over 100 years old anyway!! Great photo's. Keep it up, and happy hunting! :icon_thumleft:

Re: A hunt to remember

Yeah, that Barber is in horrible shape! Come on Kermit, why can't you find a perfect brilliant uncirculated Barber? lol, I'm just busting your chops. I don't know about you, but that quarter looks pretty sweet to me. And the merc and buffalo. Congrats on the find and glad you had fun!

When you see Lokn4seated's coin you'll see what im talkin about. Mine's older but his is quarter is INSANE. :laughing9:

Great Job Fiend!
I was hoping to get out w/ L4s this week. I hope you guys have left some goods there. A BBQ is beautiful in my book any day!

Awesome job out there today, TF! It was a great time hunting with you again! Now to post my finds.
