This piece of metal says "registered motorcycle" along the top. The diameter is 5 inches. Would like more info on what it is...

Nice find ! early registration tag for motorcycles . now we get those stickers

Great find! Looks like it was some sort of fob and the top is broken. Here is one from 1914 that was listed on eBay -
