The weather was incredible today for the end of December, so I decided to detect a beach which was about an hour away. I was the only one there for about three hours. Nice and quiet. 
I found some modern coins and I believe two WWII era RAF buttons. They are 23mm in diameter and in rough shape. I'm not certain of the time frame on these buttons but from the little bit of research I've done, I believe that is the case. If anybody else knows more about them, please chime in. Thanks.
