A little birdy followed me home!

Was invited by BedfordBob and DeArmittPA to hit one of their sites... the one that has produced very well for them the last few weekends...

I started to work an area I thought they had not hit too hard... found a few buttons which gave me hope that maybe they may have missed at least one copper... well they may have missed one but it was not for me to find today.

The bird button is silver... when I finally found that little bugger in the dirt I first thought I found another 3 center... Well as you can see its not a coin but its still a keeper...

Also found the nearly intact pewter button.... it has some sort of design on it but nothing that I can make out that matches anything in my book...

That's what I thought it was due to it's shape. Very small, I'd guess it at 5mm long.

Nice one. Engraved Dove, a symbol of peace and something I've seen several times on different early silver items.
